Horse riding along the beach?
Please take the tides and the times allowed for riders into account:
- Galloping along our wide beaches is most fun at low tid. Check the tides and pay close attention to the information boards at each beach entrance for any (temporary) rules.
- During the summer months you are not allowed to just ride your horse everywhere on the beach. The strip between the border with Koksijde and the route at H. Conscience and the rest of the beach is prohibited for riders from 15 June to 20 September, between 10 am and 7 pm.
Do not forget your identification number
Want to discover the natural routes of De Panne? Then you must always visibly mark both sides of your horse with an identification number.

This identification number can be purchased at the Tourist Office in De Panne for €70. You will receive a nice saddle pad that have your identification number embroidered on as well as a sturdy plastic number (in duplicate) that you can attach to your own saddle pad.
If you wish to purchase just the identification number (without saddle pad), you pay €25.
Practical:
Come to the Toursit Office De Panne (Zeelaan 21 - 058 42 18 18 - visit@depanne.be) with the ID card and the rider's details (name, address, telephone number, date and place of birth).
You get the saddle pad and/or the identification number right away.
