Comedyshow: William Boeva - DRIFT TRY OUT
William Boeva – DRIFT TRY OUT
William Boeva has a problem.
He’s become so well‑known that people stop him everywhere, all the time. And yet, he’s always friendly. Always ready with a joke.
That fame opens many doors — while at the same time confronting him with a bitter truth: what comes naturally to him is still a daily struggle for many people with a disability. And that weighs heavily. Because what if, tomorrow, those doors were to close for him too?
William feels the pressure to keep pleasing everyone and to live up to expectations. And whenever he hesitates, one thought pops up: “What would Jesus do?”
But there’s something else bubbling beneath the surface. Something deeply human: drift. The urge to let go. To experience everything he missed out on when he was younger. But does that make him a bad person?
In DRIFT, William sets out to find the answers: what do you do with your urges? When are you a good person? When are you allowed to make mistakes? And when are you simply allowed to be… human?
Is there still a manual for life — or do we need to rewrite it together?
Honest, relatable and laugh‑out‑loud funny. You’ll be watching an apparently perfect show… until William decides that perfection is nothing more than an illusion.
The comedy show is in Dutch.

In November 1943, the fishing boat N141 ‘De Zee’ disappears in the North Sea after striking a German sea mine. The crew is never found. Among them, the great-grandfather of artist Johan Tahon remains forever beneath the surface, carried by the slow breath of the sea.
