What are 'De Drie Wijsneuzen of De Panne'?
These striking statues can be placed in the same league as monuments such as the Statue of Liberty (New York) or Christ the Redeemer (Rio de Janeiro) due to their heroic-realistic nature. Originally, such statues served as signposts, but now they have become real must-sees. The three heads are also real wise guys: stubbornly they all look in a different direction: towards France, England and the Belgian interior.
Did you knew that:
- the 3 heads were printed with a 3D printer and then covered with a protective layer of glass-fibre reinforced polyester.
- the heads are 1.80 m tall.
- the pillars, which are 13 to 15 metres high, are made of composite and then anchored in the sand with a foot construction.
How to get there?
