Aloïs and Zenobie depict a fishing couple and were created in 1908 on the occasion of a propaganda party. After a while, they disappeared without a trace.
On the initiative of the carnival group De Zeekring, which traditionally marched in the procession dressed as pirates, Aloïs and Zenobie were reborn as a privateer's family on 11 September 1949.
Who is Aloïs?
