Big Shell Counting Day 2026
Welcome to Shell Counting Day!
Join us for the ninth edition and discover the wonderful world of shells along the tide line. This citizen science initiative teaches us a lot about the occurrence of these marine animals, the impact of the climate change, and the presence of exotic species. Together with hundreds of nature lovers, you will help researchers gain a better understanding of our North Sea.
The Great Shell Count Day is part of Water Week, an initiative that aims to stimulate water awareness and wonder.
