The beach of De Panne is accessible for everyone! If you want to spend a day at the beach in a wheelchair, you can use thespecial beach wheelchairs. These are adapted wheelchairs that allow you to move along the beach, across the sand - even up to the waterline - without any problems.
Types:
There are 3 different beach wheelchairs available:
- Hippocampo: for active walks
- Handiquatro: classic model
- Marina-Anfi: allows you to go into the sea
- To rent a regular wheelchair, you can visit Arizona De Panne.
Practical:
The beach wheelchairs can be borrowed:
- from 14 June to 14 September:

- from 15 September via the website www.depanne.be/changingplaces
Reservation:
Due to the limited amount of wheelchairs, it is better to book in advance. Please present your ID card when collecting a wheelchair.
Price:
The wheelchairs can be hired free of charge.
