13. Adinkerke Military Cemetery (WW I – WW II)

According to the current register 365 dead are buried here, 270 of which are victims of WW I: 161 from the United Kingdom, five Australians, two Canadians, 98 Germans and four Russians.

Since 1970, an annual ceremony has been held in May in memory of the Czechs and Slovaks who died here during WWII.

All tombstones bear the same chiselled epitaph. There is no distinction in rank and everyone has the same tombstone.
